After a year and a half of “we’ll get back to it eventually,” we’re finally back… and somehow worse (but also better?). Season 2 kicks off with a production disaster that turned into a full-blown animated episode. Yeah… we forgot to focus two of the cameras. So instead of scrapping it, Rob spent the next month and a half turning everyone into cartoons. Totally normal behavior.
This episode is basically a reset. New season, new structure, and a new crew. Dan and Tom officially join the chaos, and we start things off by figuring out how everyone knows each other, why they decided to jump into this, and whether bringing them on was a terrible decision.
From there… it spirals.
We get into hypothetical nonsense like villain origin stories, irrational beliefs, untrustworthy vegetables, and which animal we’re way too confident we could fight. There’s also a concerning amount of discussion about veal, Coke Zero, and replacing body parts with household appliances.
Somewhere in the middle of all that, we actually talk about what’s next for Just Plain Nonsense. New sketches, new ideas, and a bigger push into creating the kind of content we’ve been wanting to make for a long time.
It’s messy. It’s dumb.
It’s exactly what it’s supposed to be.
Welcome to Season 2.
